Corn Quality Analysis Based on Near Infrared Spectroscopy in Main Producing Areas
In order to comprehensively understand the quality of corn in China,532 corn samples harvested in 2022 were collected from 13 major corn producing provinces(municipalities)in China, and 11 quality indexes,inclu-ding bulk density, crude protein, lysine, fatty acid value and apparent metabolizable energy, etc.of corn, were rapidly detected by near-infrared spectroscopy.Correlation analysis and principal component analysis were used to analyze and evaluate the measured data. The results indicated that, according to GB 1353-2018 Maize,first-class corn ac-counted for 38.53%,second-class corn accounted for 37.21%,and according to GB/T 20570-2015 Guidelines for Evaluation of Maize Storage Character, the sample shall be suitable for storage. There were obvious correlations among some indexes, such as the positive correlation between bulk density and crude protein, and the negative correlation be-tween crude protein and starch. The comparison among different main producing areas revealed that the bulk density in northwest China was obviously higher than that in other areas, the starch content of corn in North China was higher, and the crude protein content in Huang-Huai-Hai region was second only to that in Northwest China.Based on the method of principal component analysis, the quality of corn in north China and Huang-Huai-Hai were obviously dif-ferent.
