Fatty Acid Content of Purpleblow Maple Difference Ages Ancient Trees Kernel in Daiqintala Nature Reserve
Purpleblow maple(Acer truncatum Bunge)is a unique woody oil tree species in China, therefore, breeding provenances of high fatty acids is an urgent problem for development of the industry. In this paper,The con-tents of fatty acids and their compositions in purpleblow maple seeds of different ages in Deqintala Nature Reserve in Horqin sandy land were determined by combining field sampling and indoor analysis. The results indicated that the seed kernel of purpleblow maple had the characteristics of high oil content. There was no significant difference of fatty acids and their composition in ancient trees kernel at different ages.Seed kernel contains oil mass fraction of purple-blow maple ancient trees were 46.76%-49.97%,and the average content oil mass fraction was 48.19%.Oleic acid and linoleic acid were the main fatty acids in seed kernel of purpleblow maple, average content oil mass fraction was 26.23%and 34.91%,respectively.The average content mass fraction of the palmitic acid,cil-11-eicosenoic acid,13-docobicarbonate and tetracosenoic acid were 4.44%,8.18%,14.54%and 4.60%,respectively.Fatty acid content showed an increasing trend with the increase of age of ancient trees. The content of nervonic acid showed a decreasing trend with the increase of age of ancient trees. The old purpleblow maple trees more than 100 years had relatively stable characteristics of high oil content. The difference of tree age was not the main factor affecting the con-tents of fatty acids and their components in purpleblow maple kernel.
