Tea saponin widely exists in the aceaes of camellia and camellia oleifera,etc.,it is mainly extracted from tea seed meal and tea seed shell and is a kind of plant secondary metabolite.It has a variety of biological activi-ties,therefore,it is widely applied in different fields.In this article,the biological activity of tea saponin and its ap-plication in the field of production were mainly reviewed to provide a reference for further research and effective utili-zation of tea saponin.
