Research progress on interleukin-17C in autoimmune skin diseases
Interleukin-17s(IL-17s)family cytokines have pro-inflammatory effects. It is involved in the occurrence and development of various autoimmune diseases.IL-17C was found to be one of the key members in IL-17s recently. In contrast to IL-17A,which derived from a wide range of immune cells,IL-17C is mainly secreted by epithelial cells and plays a role through the IL-17RE/A receptor complex.Abnormal ex-pression of IL-17C is observed in autoimmune skin diseases such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. This arti-cle reviews the research progress on the relationship between IL-17C and autoimmune skin diseases.
