The revised Big Five personality inventory is used to measure the personality traits of pilots.Through flight task analysis, the safety capabilities of airline pilots are categorized into four types:professional technology, comprehensive management, safety concepts and psy-chological quality. Then a safety capability scale for airline pilots is designed.A hypothetical relationship model between the safety capabilities of airline pilots and their personality traits is proposed.Subsequently, survey questionnaires are distributed to airline pilots and 212 sets of relevant self-assessment data are collected. Finally, using AMOS 26.0 software to calculate the model,it is found that agreeableness has the greatest impact on professional skills;neuroticism has the greatest impact on comprehensive skills;conscientiousness has the greatest impact on safety concepts and openness has the greatest impact on psychological quality.
