In order to improve the safety of transport airport apron operations,a transport airport apron safety evaluation index system is established by analyzing the apron operating environment and referring to relevant civil aviation regulations. To ensure the effectiveness of the index system, related indexes are deleted through correlation analysis, and principal component analysis(PCA)retains indexes that have an important impact on the evaluation results. Then the DEMATEL method is employed to find the key indexes that affect the safety of the apron. The two methods of correlation and principal components are combined to quantitatively screen the indexes, thereby constructing a comprehensive transport airport apron safety evaluation index system that includes 32 indexes across four criteria levels:human, equipment, environment and management.DEMATEL method analyzes the key indexes affecting the apron safety in the index system to provide a reference basis for the transport airport apron safety evaluation and management.
