Learning situation analysis is a fundamental component of teaching activities and serves as the foundation for educational research.Differentiated teaching is a teaching approach aiming to balance commonality and individuality with the goal of maximizing each student's potentials within the group and promoting students to achieve full development based on their existing foundations.This paper conducts a study on differentiated teaching practices in college English based on learning situation analysis.The findings indicate that:1)Students'learning abilities,attitudes,habits and teacher's feed-back all influence their learning outcomes.2)Compared to traditional teaching models,differentiated teaching based on learning situation analysis can effectively enhance students'English language profi-ciency.3)The effectiveness of differentiated teaching designs is more pronounced for students with a relatively strong foundation in English.
