Study on Geochemistry of Rare Earth Elements in Stone Coal
Based on a systemically collection of content of REEs in stone coals, the modes of occurrence, genesis of enrichment. Results indicated that the REEs'concentrations in Chinese stone coals varied greatly among different regions. The REEs in Chinese stone coals were higher than these of Chinese and world coals, suggesting that REEs were relatively enriched in stone coals. There are various modes of occurrence of REEs in stone coals, mainly in inorganic and residual states.REEs were partially related to organic matter as well,and/or of both organic and inorganic associations. The factors for REEs'enrichment in stone coals included:a marine depositional environment,an input of sediments from sources region,an intrusion of hydrothermal fluids(acidic,alkaline,high-temperature magmatic hydrothermal, submarine exhalation, etc.),and a groundwater leaching. The geochemical parameters, such as L/H,LaN/YbN,δCe,δEu,and its normalized distribution patterns of REEs in stone coals, can be used to infer information on the material source and metallogenic conditions, which are of important theoretical and practical significances.
