Remote Sensing Monitoring of Spatial-temporal Changes in Siling Co Area
This paper constructs a 44-year lake area dataset in this region based on Landsat satellite data from 1976 to 2020 by NDWI and maximum inter-class variance method, and comprehensive analyzes the reasons for the changes of Siling Co lake surface by combining the meteorological station data around the basin, glaciers in the basin and other auxiliary data. The results show that the area of Siling Co grew by 752.33 km2 from 1976 to 2020,experiencing four stages:slight growth(1976-1991),slight decline(1992-1997),sharp expansion(1998-2005)and slow growth(2006-2020).Comprehensive analysis shows that the climate element is one of the factors causing the change of Siling Co lake area, rather than a key factor, and the combination of various factors contributes to the gradual expansion of Siling Co lake area.
