Gas-bearing Characteristics and Main Controlling Geological Factors of Main Coal Seams in Enhong Mining Area
Based on the geological background and coal-bearing properties of the Enhong mining area, this article analyzes a large number of experimental test results, combs the distribution characteristics of gas content in three main coal seams, and studies the gas composition and adsorption performance. The adsorption performance of coalbed methane in coal seam 16 is stronger than that in coal seam 9,and the maximum gas adsorption capacity is obtained when the coal seam is buried at a depth of about 600 m.The main coal seams are undersaturated coal seams, and the gas zoning is dominated by marsh gas zone and nitrogen-methane zone. The proportion of methane in the gas increases with the increase of burial depth, but due to the abnormally high concentration of heavy hydrocarbons in the coal seam and the influence of air entering during gas sampling, the methane concentration in the coal seam at a depth of 800 m is still lower than 80%.The gas content in the main coal seams has the characteristic of syncline-controlled gas,and the gas content increases from top to bottom. The gas content is affected by the comprehensive influence of coal seam thickness, burial depth, and groundwater activity, and sedimentation and geological structure are the main geological factors affecting the gas content in the coal seam..
