Application of Geochemical Element Analysis in Sedimentary Media Environment Differentiation—A Case Study of Permian System in Kaiping Syncline
The characteristics of geochemical elements in sedimentary strata have a good indication for the analysis of sedimentary paleoenvironment.Based on the main and trace elements in the shale samples, the provenance characteristics, paleoclimate, paleosalinity, paleoproductivity and paleoredox conditions are studied systematically, including Zr/Al,Ti/Al,paleoclimate index C,Sr/Ba,P/Ti,U/Th,MoEF,UEF,V/(V+Ni)and other indicators to explore the sedimentary paleogeographic environment. The results show that formation of Zhaogezhuang is carbonate platform, tidal flat, peat swamp and lagoon facies deposits, and formation of Damiaozhuang is delta sedimentary system. The tectonic setting is continental island arc and active-passive continental arc margin area. The alternation of sandstone and shale shows that it has the characteristics of frequent seawater oscillation and frequent changes in hydrodynamic conditions. On the whole,it is in an oxygen-rich state,semi-humid climate and brackish water environment, and organic matter accumulates during the period of low paleoproductivity.
