Exploration of the Variation Law of Shear Strength of Soft Soil with Water Content in Major Cities in the Greater Bay Area
To study the relationship between shear strength and moisture content of soft soil in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,a large number of soft soil samples from nine major cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area were used, the city was taken as the statistical object, the moisture content was taken as the independent variable, and the cohesion and internal friction angle in the direct shear strength index were used as the dependent variables, and the regression equation and goodness of fit of each city were obtained by fitting according to the quadratic polynomial relationship. The results showed that the goodness-of-fit ranged from 0.478~0.825,all of which reached a moderate correlation or above, indicating that there was a good quadratic polynomial correlation between the direct fast-shear strength index and the moisture content. To verify the feasibility of fitting the formula, the data of two actual engineering projects in Jiangmen and Zhongshan were selected for verification, and the measured moisture content was used as the independent variable, and the internal friction angle and cohesion were calculated by fitting the formula, and compared with the measured values, the results showed that the two were relatively close. In this paper, the city is taken as the statistical object, the sample is sufficient, and the proposed fitting relationship has a good representativeness in the goodness of fit, which can provide a certain reference for the design of soft soil foundation treatment engineering in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
