Study on Directional Long Boreholes Technology for Draining Goaf Water
Goaf water accidents are one of the biggest types of water hazards that threaten mine safety. In response to the threat of water hazards during the excavation of goaf tunnels,a method of on-site experience summary, comparative analysis, and geometric calculation was adopted, and research has been conducted on the design of goaf water drainage boreholes, directional penetration of goaf and boreholes expansion methods,as well as estimation of goaf water volume. The directional long boreholes drainage technology for goaf water was developed. The experiment shows that the U-shaped Φ 133 mm drilling design can directly cross multiple working faces for drainage and is not easily blocked. The combination of directional drilling tools for densifying measurement and ordinary inclined auger drilling tools can achieve safe drilling through goaf one time. By using the method of expanding holes without water swivel, the efficiency of expanding holes can be improved by 76%. The method for estimating goaf water volume can provide a basic understanding of the dynamics. The on-site experiment achieved a one-time penetration of 828m through the goaf with a target error of±1.7m. The water output of the borehole remained stable at over 100 m3/h for more than 40 days, ensuring safe excavation along the goaf roadway.
