Dynamic Monitoring Technology for Geothermal Resources in Henan
Large scale geothermal development may cause geological environmental problems such as a decrease in thermal reservoir pressure,a decrease in thermal reservoir temperature,and pollution from tailwater discharge. Geothermal monitoring is an important means to grasp the dynamic changes and ensure sustainable geothermal development. Based on the analysis of the current situation of geothermal development and utilization in Henan,a geothermal resource monitoring platform based on WebGIS was designed. The platform comprehensively utilizes technologies such as the internet of things,3S,mobile internet,measurement and control,and WEB to achieve dynamic monitoring,data analysis,and early warning of parameters such as groundwater level,water temperature,and extraction (irrigation) water volume. Taking Lankao as an example,through investigation and comparison,it was found that during the heating season in 2023,there was a slight decrease in the average dynamic water level depth of geothermal wells and a decline in the recharge volume compared to the same period last year. Through numerical model prediction,with a planned geothermal water utilization scale of 8.34 million m3/a after 5 years as the condition,the changes in groundwater depression cones under two utilization modes of 90% and 0% recharge were compared and analyzed. It was found that under the development mode of 90% recharge rate,the attenuation of geothermal water pressure value is small,the cone area is controllable,and the development and utilization of geothermal resources are sustainable.
