Geological Modeling Based on Cross-sections for Ultra-thin Coal Measure Strata——As a Case of the Qipanjing Coal Mine
The demand for precision in three-dimensional geological models in coal mine intelligent construction is increasing. China's coal mine geological conditions are relatively complex and regionally diverse, yet there is currently a lack of a universally applicable method for three-dimensional geological modeling across various types of coal mines. This study, based on the cross-section modeling method, proposes a method for cross-section layout in geological modeling specifically tailored for ultra-thin coal seam formations . Practical application at the Qipanjing coal mine in Inner Mongolia demonstrated that the cross-section layout effectively resolves issues of intersecting rock layers in explicit modeling. Moreover, the constructed mine model achieved a resolution of 5m with control point errors less than 0.5m,meeting the requirements for precise modeling of lithological strata in ultra-thin coal seam formations.
