Effects of the Sewage Irrigation on Hydrochemical Characteristics of Shallow Groundwater
Sewage irrigation is a very important agricultural water-saving method. However, sewage irrigation may change the chemical composition of groundwater, cause groundwater pollution, and may endanger the ecological environment and human health. Based on the field investigation and laboratory analysis, this paper studies the groundwater chemical characteristics in the sewage irrigation area and the clear irrigation area in Luancheng, and discusses the possible sources of salt ions in the groundwater and their influencing factors, the effect of sewage irrigation on the chemical characteristics of shallow groundwater was revealed. The results showed that the contents of Na+,Ca2+,NO-3,SO24-,conductivity,hardness in groundwater increased significantly. The content of Cr,Cd and Pb in groundwater was increased by long-term sewage irrigation. The results of principal component analysis showed that the contribution rate of each source to the chemical components of groundwater was in order from large to small:sewage irrigation, agricultural fertilizer application and industrial discharge.
