Study on the correlation between thyroid related hormones and pulpitis in type 2 diabetes mellitus
Objective To investigate the relationship between thyroid related hormones and pulpitis in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods Among T2DM patients admitted to our hospital from August 2016 to December 2021,59 cases were randomly selected in the simple type 2 diabetes group(control group)and 50 cases with T2DM combined pulpitis(pulpitis group). The general clinical biochemical indexes,thyroid-relat-ed hormone indexes and CRP levels were compared between groups.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between T3,T4 and FT4 and various difference indexes, and the incidence of pulpitis in the T3,T4 and FT4 triquiles were analyzed, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed. Results There were statistically significant differences in age,SBP,DBP,DM course,FIns and WBC levels among groups(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the levels of T3,T4 and FT4 in pulpitis group were decreased(P<0.05),and CRP level was significantly increased(P<0.01).Pearson correlation analysis showed that T3 was negatively correlated with DBP,T4 was negatively correlated with SBP,DBP and WBC,and FT4 was negatively correlated with FIns(P<0.05).The prevalence of pulpitis at different T4 levels had statistical difference, and showed a decreasing trend with the increase of T4 level(P<0.05).DM course,T4 and FIns are risk factors for T2DM combined pulpitis. Conclusion T4 was negatively correlated with SBP,DBP and WBC.DM course,T4 and FIns are risk factors for T2DM with pulpitis.T4 level detection is of great value in assisting diagnosis of T2DM with pulpitis.
