The mediating effects of psychological capital on the perceived stress and anxiety symptom in the main caregivers of stroke patients
Objective To explore the mediating effects of psychological capital on the perceived stress and anxiety symptom in the main caregivers of stroke patients,and provide the basis for reducing the anxiety symptom in the primary caregivers of stroke patients.Methods From July to August 2023,the aim sampling method was used to select 500 primary caregivers of stroke patients from a top three hospital as the subjects.The investigation was performed with the questionnaire of basic information,the questionnaire of knowledge related to stroke,Chinese Perceived Stress Scale,Positive psychological capital questionnaire,and Generalized anxiety scale.The SPSS 25.0 was used to conduce the univariate analysis and correlation analysis,AMOS 24.0 constructing the structural equation model(SEM)was used to analyze the mediating effects.Results A total of 476 valid questionnaires were collected in the study.The incidence of anxiety symptom in primary caregivers of stroke patients was 54.8%.The direct effect of the perceived stress on anxiety symptom in primary caregivers of stroke patients was 0.388(79.02%);the mediating effect of psychological capital on the perceived stress and anxiety symptom in the primary caregivers of stroke patients was 0.103(20.98%).Conclusion The psychological capital is a metavariable of perceived stress and anxiety symptom in the primary caregivers of stroke patients.It should enhance the assessment of perceived stress,increase the psychological capital and reduce the risk of anxiety symptom in primary caregivers of stroke patients.
