A CiteSpace-based visual analysis on research progress,focuses and trends of Medical Immunology experimental teaching
As a discipline that connects basic medicine and clinical medicine,medical immunology is an important and chal-lenging course of basic medical theory for medical students.Medical Immunological experiments help with the systematic integration of basic knowledge and incorporate it into practical operations,active observations and positive thinking,which give students a holistic understanding and mastery of basic concepts and principles in immunology.The research progress,focuses and trends of immunology experimental teaching have attracted significant attention from teachers.This paper utilizes the software CiteSpace to perform a visual analysis of research papers on medical immunology experimental teaching between 2010 and 2021 that are available from CNKI,including the annual number of published papers,and the co-occurrence network,clustering map,timeline map and bursting map of keywords.The findings are listed below.The annual number of published papers in the studied area has been steady in the past decade.Representative research teams with close internal collaboration have been formed in the research area.Keywords with high between centrality appear in the keyword co-occurrence map,including experimental teaching,immunology,teaching reforms,experimental class and medical students.Meanwhile,contents studied in the area have been well-established,covering the holistic research on the reforms of Medical Immunology experimental teaching,practical explorations of specific teaching methods and studies on the specific groups of students and teachers involved in teaching practices.It is noteworthy that the"student-centered"educational idea has been valued by teachers of different medical specialties during the research on the reforms and innovations of experimental teaching methods,hence shaping the teaching pattern that highlights the training of scientific thinking,innovation spirit,self-directed learning ability and comprehensive skills.By offering a glimpse into the research progress,focuses and future trends in the area,this paper will provide theoretical support and reference materials for the quality improvement of classroom teaching and the subsequent implementa-tion teaching reforms.
