传说、记忆与地方社会——云南武定狮子山建文帝传说解读

摘要
明建文帝出亡云南武定狮子山的传说约产生于明代后期隆庆、万历之际,于明清鼎革之际广泛向外流布,直至今日依然盛行.传说与明代世代镇守云南的沐氏家族及当地彝族凤氏土官家族关系密切,原因是沐氏与建文有着特殊的亲情关系;凤氏在当地的实际统治地位以及在正续寺发展过程中起到的决定性作用.当地僧人、文人群体出于为地方增光添彩、对故国的思念、对忠义精神的弘扬及重建社会秩序的需要,通过修建建文遗迹、构建纪念场景、纂修地方志、吟诗歌咏等方式,保存了这一社会记忆,为传说更加广泛地传播起到了推波助澜的作用.可以看到,地方社会的特殊情境及由此引发的当地社会群体的需求,共同构成了传说兴盛与向外传播的动力.同时,该传说又能提供一种看待明清时期地方社会的新视角,从而呈现出更加多元化的社会史.
Abstract
The legend of Emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty,who escaped to Lion Mountain in Wuding,Yunnan Province,can first be traced to the late Ming Dynasty,the era of Longqing and Wanli.It was widely disseminated during late Ming and early Qing widely and has remained popular until now.The story is connected with two key families:one is the Mu family,who defended Yunnan throughout the Ming dynasty,is the other is the Feng family,who were native Tuguan of the Yi ethnicity.The reasons for their appearance in the legend are twofold:firstly,there was a special relationship between the Mu family and Jianwen,whereas the Feng family governed Wuding at the time,and had a decisive impact on the development of the Zhengxu temple.In order to propagate their own local popularity,promote a spirit of common allegiance=and rebuild social regulation,native monks and intellectuals have attempted to preserve social memory by recalling the previous empire,creating relics out of Jianwen,reconstructing important scenes from history,compiling local chronicles,creating and singing poems to the era,and so on.This has had the effect of disseminating the legend more widely.We see that the legend's continued widespread appeal is due to its historical,regional characteristics.Furthermore,the legend can provide a new,pluralistic perspective of regional society during the time of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
