Review on the Centennial Development of Pomology in China
China fruit industry has undergone enormous changes in the past one hundred years. This paper summarized fruit industry's current situation, centennial development history and major achievements. The research progress in genetic breeding, cultivation technology, prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, storage and processing, mechanized production of seven fruit tree species including apple, citrus, pear, grape, banana and litchi/longan has been also reviewed.
