Investigation on the Prevalence of Three Main Pathogens of Calf Diarrhea in Henan Province from 2021 to 2022
In order to make sure the prevalence of calf diarrhea pathogens in Henan Province from 2021 to 2022,170 calf diarrhea samples from more than 20 pastures in Henan Province were tested by using a nucleic acid detection kit(fluorescent PCR).Bovine rotavirus(BRV),bovine coronavirus(BCoV)and bovine Escherichia coli K99+(E.coli K99+)were detected by PCR in 112 samples of calf diarrhea tested in 2022.and the results were summarized by SPSS 27.0 software and analyzed by Pearson's chi-squared test.It was shown that:In 2022,the detection rate of BRV and BCoV pathogens was 50.00%and 41.00%,significantly higher than that of 2021(P<0.01).The detection rate of E.coli K99+ was basically unchanged compared with that of the previous year(P>0.05),indicating that the prevalence of BRV and BCoV was more and more serious in 2022.Further analysis showed that the detection rate of diarrhea pathogen single infection in 2022 was 26.79%,mainly BRV virus infection, which was basically the same as that of 2021,which was 25.29%,and the difference was not significant(P>0.05).In 2022,the detection rate of diarrhea mixed infection was 35.71%,and BRV and BCoV mixed infection was the main infection.Compared with 12.94%in 2021,the difference was significant(P<0.01),indicating that the mixed infection was more serious in 2022,so it is suggested to carry out targeted prevention and control and purification of diarrhea epidemic in Henan Province. This test preliminarily identified the infection situation of the three pathogens of calf diarrhea in different regions of Henan Province in 2021 and 2022,which can provide certain data support for the formulation of comprehensive prevention and control measures of calf diarrhea in Henan Province.
