Study on Efficiency of Dairy Industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Province based on DEA Method
In order to explore the key factors affecting the efficiency of dairy industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, point out the development direction of the three places, and promote the formation of a new development pattern of complementary advantages and common development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.Based on the statistical data of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and other provinces with strong dairy industry from 2017 to 2022,the dairy industry efficiency of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and other provinces with strong dairy industry was measured and compared.Furthermore, the DEA-Malmquist model was further applied to analyze the temporal and spatial characteristics of the dairy industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. To explore the development status of dairy industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in recent six years. The results showed that the comprehensive efficiency, technical efficiency and scale efficiency of Beijing dairy industry were all effective, and the resource utilization rate reached the optimal state.Tianjin dairy industry factor input utilization is not sufficient, increasing factor input will increase the efficiency of dairy industry in this area. The dairy industry in Hebei province is large in scale and low in technical efficiency. The efficiency of dairy industry in this area will be increased by improving the technical progress and the yield of adult cows.Despite the low scale efficiency in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, total factor productivity has increased year by year, driven by technological progress. It is suggested that the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region should develop moderate scale dairy farming, gradually form a dairy farming industry cluster, and improve its scale efficiency. In addition, the efficiency of dairy industry in Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei is gradually improved under the role of increasing the output of single cow and promoting consumption.
