Analysis of Disease Resistance Genes in Flevich Cross Cattle and Holsteins
In order to reveal the genetic differences of disease resistance between Freivik and Holstein cattle,100 Freivik and Holstein cattle were selected by Igenity® Select Profile(ISP).The common clinical traits such as survival vigor, ketosis, fetal retention, milk fever, mastitis, transposition of the true stomach, metritis and milk somatic cell count were evaluated. The results showed that the genetic evaluation value of resistance to survival vigor, milk production fever, true stomach displacement, mastitis, and fetal overgrowth of Frank-Dutch hybrid cattle was significantly better than that of Holstein cattle, with significant statistical difference(P<0.01).The resistance was similar in genetic breeding value of resistance to somatic cell count, ketosis, metritis, etc.,with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).The genetic evaluation value of production life was significantly lower than that of Holstein cattle, and the statistical difference was extremely significant(P<0.01).This study revealed the genetic differences of disease resistance between Frank-Dutch hybrid cattle and Holstein cattle from the aspects of genes and genetic breeding, and provided a reference for the development of milk-meat fusion in the improved dairy cows of Flevich cattle.
