DHI Determination Situation and Effectiveness Analysis of Holstein Cows in Jiangsu Province
This study describes the development of Jiangsu Dairy Herd Improvement(DHI)from 2009 to 2023 and its effectiveness on dairy performance.And a further comparesion with the national DHI perforamce was conducted.The results showed that the the scale of the herd participating in DHI and daily milk yield of were significantly improved.In addition,the milk fat percentage,milk protein percentage and somatic cell count were also significantly improved.It is,therefore,the active promotion and rapid development of DHI measurement in Jiangsu have played an important supporting role in promoting the high-quality development of Jiangsu dairy industry.
