Heat stress reduces dry matter intake,production performance,and increases respiratory rate to maintain body temperature in dairy cows.When cows are subjected to heat stress,effective measures should be taken to enable cows to exert their production potential and improve the profitability of pastures.This review summarizes the relevant measures to reduce the negative effects of heat stress on dairy cows.
