The Effect of Mixed Sowing of Darley and Vetch on Forage Yield and Duality
In order to investigate the effects of mixed sowing of barley and vetch on forage yield and quality, using feeding barley vetch as the experimental material, five treatments were set up:100%barley single sowing,25%barley+75%vetch,50%barley+50%vetch,75%barley+25%vetch,and 100%vetch.The effects of different cutting periods and mixed sowing ratios on plant height, forage yield, and nutritional quality were analyzed. The results showed that there was no significant difference in plant height between single sowing barley A1 and various mixed sowing treatments at different growth stages(P>0.05).Under different mixed sowing treatments and cutting periods, the yield of fresh and dry grass was significantly different(P<0.01)in crude protein content, acidic detergent fiber, and neutral detergent fiber under different mixed sowing treatments and cutting periods. The cutting period and mixed sowing ratio had a certain synergistic effect on crude protein content, acidic detergent fiber, and neutral detergent fiber(P<0.01).Through a comprehensive comparison of plant height, forage yield, crude protein content, and cutting period among different treatments, the mixed planting combination of 50%barley and 50%vetch pea is most suitable for planting in the Hetao area during the milk ripening period.
