Abstract

This article aims to comprehensively explore the wide-ranging applications and potential benefits of bile acids in livestock and poultry production. As a crucial bioactive substance, bile acids play multiple roles within animal bodies.Beyond facilitating the digestion and absorption of fats, they are involved in regulating cholesterol metabolism and influencing key physiological processes related to animal growth and development.Particularly in the domain of livestock and poultry feed additives, the application of bile acids is attracting significant attention. This article will delve into the synthesis pathways, physiological mechanisms, and effects of bile acids in livestock and poultry production, including their role in enhancing feed nutritional value and promoting animal health.Furthermore, the paper will address the current challenges facing the application of bile acids and suggest broader future applications in the livestock industry, offering valuable guidance and forward-thinking insights for industry development and animal production. These discussions will provide essential references for further research and practical implementation of bile acids in the field of livestock and poultry production.
