Investigation and Analysis on the Regularity of Occult Mastitis in Cows in Xinjiang
Subclinical mastitis is a complex disease with multiple causes that seriously hinders the development of dairy farming in China. In order to understand the incidence pattern of subclinical mastitis in dairy farms in Xinjiang, this experiment selected 12 dairy farms of different scales in Xinjiang for research. The main focus was on the production performance measurement (DHI) records of cows in these farms from 2020 to 2022.The incidence of subclinical mastitis in different months, parity, lactation days, and daily milk production of these dairy farms were statistically analyzed. The results showed that the incidence of subclinical mastitis in dairy cows was higher from June to August. The incidence rate of subclinical mastitis in different parity was significantly different(P<0.01).The incidence rate of subclinical mastitis in the groups of 100~199 days and 200~305 days of lactation was significantly lower than that in the groups of 1~44 days(P<0.01).The incidence rate of subclinical mastitis in dairy cows with daily milk yield ≥ 35 kg was significantly lower than that in dairy cows with daily milk yield<20 kg (P<0.01),and there was a negative correlation between daily milk yield and incidence rate. The influence of different scale dairy farms on the incidence rate of subclinical mastitis was not significant (P<0.05).This experiment shows that the occurrence of latent mastitis is related to the temperature, parity, lactation days, and daily milk production of cows.
