Carotid artery puncture for thrombectomy in the treatment of middle cerebral artery occlusion combined with a hidden mirror aneurysm:a case report
Patients with acute ischemic stroke combined with mirror aneurysms of middle cerebral artery are rare.Thrombectomy surgery in patients with large cerebral vessel occlusion and occult aneurysms carries high risks, which can easily lead to aneurysm rupture, seriously affecting patient treatment and prognosis. In August 8,2021,the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University admitted a patient with middle cerebral artery occlusion combined with occult mirror aneurysm.Due to the difficulty of establishing an access through the femoral artery, the clinical data and diagnosis and treatment process of mechanical thrombectomy through the carotid artery were summarized,in order to provide reference for clinical work.
