Multiple times of carotid artery stenting for multiple carotid artery stenosis complicated with ischemic stroke after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma:a case report
Radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma can cause carotid artery injury.With the prolonged survival time,serious arterial stenosis may occur gradually and may cause ischemic stroke events.Carotid artery stenting is currently an effective treatment for severe carotid artery stenosis.The authors reported a case of multiple carotid artery stenosis complicated with acute ischemic stroke after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma,who received multiple carotid artery stenting successively.The characteristics of diagnosis and treatment were analyzed combined with relevant literature to provide a reference for clinicians.
