Progress in the correlation of triglyceride-glucose index with cerebral small vessel disease
Cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD),as a disease that seriously jeopardizes the quality of life of middle-aged and elderly people,is one of the most important causes of stroke and cognitive impairment in middle-aged and elderly people.Studies have shown that insulin resistance can contribute to the development of CSVD through multiple pathways, and the triglyceride-glucose(TyG)index,as a simple and effective alternative index of insulin resistance, has been increasingly valued in clinical practice. In this paper,we reviewed the studies on the relationship between TyG index and CSVD at home and abroad, with a view to providing new ideas for early identification and intervention in the high-risk group of CVSD.
