Research progress on endovascular treatment of atrial fibrillation-related ischemic stroke
Atrial fibrillation is a high-risk factor for ischemic stroke.Ischemic stroke related to atrial fibrillation is often caused by large vessel disease. These patients have characteristics of acute onset, severe symptoms and poor prognosis.Endovascular therapy is the first-line treatment for patients with large vessel disease and stroke and has been widely used in clinical work. However, the prognosis and results of patients undergoing endovascular treatment for atrial fibrillation-related ischemic stroke are inconsistent. This article systematically reviewed the research progress on endovascular treatment of atrial fibrillation-related ischemic stroke and explored the relationship between different atrial fibrillation types, embolic sites, thrombectomy methods and thrombectomy results and overall prognosis to further improve clinical treatment strategies.
