GIS Supported Climate Division of Dried Red Jujube in Northern Shaanxi
In order to grasp the climatically suitable geographical distribution of the dried red jujube in Northern Shaanxi, this paper analyzed the climatic conditions for the needs of dried red jujube growing (Yang-mu jujube) in Northern Shaanxi. Determined the climate division index of dried red jujube in Northern Shaanxi. Simulated the small-grid data of climatic resources of the division index using GIS technology and established the score function of all index factors combining with division index. Obtained the comprehensive evaluation map of red jujube zoning by computing and divided the dried red jujube groweth areas into suitable area, sub-suitable area and unsuitable area after classification. The results showed that those counties west along the Yellow River were the suitable area of dried red jujube and from the eastern part of Northern Shaanxi to the western part zoning type were gradual transition from suitable area to sub-suitable area, unsuitable area,and it was the insufficient heat limits the dried red jujube development to the western part of Northern Shaanxi.
