The important value of city green space system and its social service function has drawn widespread attention in the world, the studies on this subject have made some achievements from several aspects. But the research review found that the relationship between planning, construction, protection and management of the city green space system and its social service function had been rarely explored, which led to the deficiency of its practical significance. Studies on the evaluation of city green space system and its social service function had the deficiencies of less research index and single research scale so that they could not reflect the various social service function of city green space system truly and comprehensively. Therefore, we should set up the quantitative and qualitative index system, adhere to the principles such as comprehensive, multi-level, independence, maneuverability, easy access etc., to reflect the social service function of city green space system objectively.
