Analysis of the Principal Components of Drought Resistance and the Subordinate Function of the Min Dwarf Root Stock Apples in Shandong Province
The use of rootstocks with drought resistance is an effective way to solve the drought problem in apple production. But currently there has been no scientific evaluation of drought resistance for dwarfing interstock. In this study, the principal component analysis and subordinate function were used in M26,SH40,MM106,M9 and GM256 dwarfing interstock (asortment ‘yanfu3’,combination of rootstock Malus hupehensis) to analyze their drought resistance in Shandong Province. The physiological and biochemical indexes such as relative water content (RWC),proline content (Pro),chlorophyll content (Chl),content of malondialdehyde (MDA),activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and CAT and soluble sugar were measured.Using principal components to analyze the physiological and biochemical index, and then to calculate with subordinate function and weights, the comprehensive evaluation value was obtained. The comprehensive evaluation value of M26,SH40,MM106,M9 and GM256 was 0.757,0.716,0.457,0.263 and 0.136,respectively.Therefore,the intensity of drought resistance was as follows:M26 >SH40 >MM 106>M9 >GM256.
