Evaluation and Identification of Resistance of Wild Soybean Germplasm to Cercospora sojina
The identification of resistance of wild soybean germplasm to Cercospora sojina was developed in order to explore the new gene resources and identify new resistance germplasm to be used for resistance breeding.104 portions of wild soybean materials were infected with C.sojina by artificial inoculation at the stage of R3-R4 of soybean growth phages. The results showed that 29 portions were resistant, 45 portions were interim resistant and 30 portions were sensitive, which accounted for 27.9%, 43.3% and 28.8% respectively of all the tested materials. The test of resistance index by way of inoculated several C.sofina strains into 104 portions of wild soybean materials showed that 86 portions had higher resistance index and expressed certain resistance to those different strains. These materials could be used for horizontal resistance breeding. There were rich resistance resources among the wild soybean germplasms, including single resistance resources and broad spectrum resistance resources.
