Soil Nutrient Characteristics of Different Age Poplar Artificial Forests in Dongting Lake Area
In order to research the soil fertility characteristics of poplar artificial forests in Dongting Lake area,soil nutrients of different age forests were studied.The results showed that there was no significant difference of pH value among different age poplar forests,and they showed alkaline.Except organic matter,the other nutrients like total N,total P,total K,available N,available P were lowest in 4 years old poplar forest,and they were significantly different from those in 2 years sold and 8 years old poplar forests;the available P content was generally low in different growth stages of poplar forest;the content of Ca,Mg and S were highest in 2 years old poplar forest;soil fertility from high to low was in an order of 2 years old ＞ 8 years old ＞ 4 years old,and the fertilization should mainly focus on middle age poplar forest.
