Sugarbeet Root Rot: Research Advance in Occurrence and Control
Sugarbeet root rot is one of the main plant diseases in production areas of sugarbeet,and is relatively difficult to be controlled in the world.In order to study the effective prevention and control measures of sugarbeet root rot,the authors summarized the research advance in symptoms,pathogens,pathogenic factors and control methods of sugarbeet root rot from about 70 articles.It was found that:the research on types’ description of symptoms and identification of pathogens population of sugarbeet root rot was relatively systematic;however,the research on pathogenic factors and control methods was inadequate.We still need to conduct further researches on the pathogenic factors of sugarbeet root rot,to achieve the prediction and forecast of sugarbeet root rot,so as to guide the prevention reasonably.In addition,the antibacterial groups should be explored and the preparation and application of biocontrol agents should be promoted to make full use of biological control.
