Reclaiming Community:Expanding the Perspective of Agricultural Transformation Research in China
China's agricultural transformation is deeply embedded in rural communities,and it is urgent to find a community perspective in the study of China's agricultural transformation.The five perspectives existing in the agricultural transformation studies often ignore the importance of rural communities in agri-cultural transformation.Without taking rural communities as research perspectives,they cannot effectively explain China's agricultural transformation.As the basic unit of rural China,rural communities not only have heavy social relations,but also opreate with a unique village community system,which plays an im-portant role in China's agricultural transformation.In order to better promote the research on China's agri-cultural transformation from the perspective of the community,we can start from three topics:the commu-nity basis of agricultural transformation,the community consequences of agricultural transformation,and the model of China's agricultural and rural modernization from the perspective of the community.
