Current status of edible rose industry in Yunnan Anning and suggestions for its sustainable development
In order to promote the high-quality and sustainable development of edible rose industry in China,this study summarized the main production areas,cultivars and processed rose products by comprehensively sorting out relevant research data and literatures.The industry in Anning,Yunnan Province was taken as an example.The current situation of the industry in Anning was elaborated and analysed from four aspects,e.g.,advantages,disadvantages,risks,and opportunities.Corresponding countermeasures and suggestions were then given for the main problems.The results showed that:The industry in Anning is mainly concentrated in Bajie District,and the main cultivar planted is Rosa'Dianhong';The development advantages mainly include nice natural environmental conditions,cultivar characteristics,good industrial foundation and development mode,as well as advanced production management level;The disadvantages mainly include Rosa'Dianhong'is not in the national catalogue of food and medicinal materials,very few types of deep processing products,insufficient processing rose cultivars,weak innovation ability of the enterprises,and inadequate empowerment of industrial culture.Meanwhile,suggestions are proposed in this study as follows:Entering Rosa'Dianhong'into the national catalogue of food and medicinal materials,optimizing the layout of industrial production,enriching the types of deep-processed products,deepening the integration of resources,etc.In general,although the development prospects of the edible rose industry in Anning are good,it is necessary to adopt above suggestions to solve the existing problems,and explore a cost-effective,environment-friendly and sustainable development path.
