Impact of digital meteorological information services on the climate adaptation behavior of rice farmers:Based on TAM and TPB integration frameworks
To explore the influence of digital meteorological information service on rice farmers climate adaptive behavior and its mechanism, under the construction technology acceptance model-plan behavior theory(TAM-TPB),based on the integration framework of 713 rice farmers in Hubei province, the impact of digital meteorological information service on the rice farmers climate adaptive behavior are analyzed by using the OLS model, mediation effect model, multivariate Probit model. The results show that:1)The digital meteorological information service has a significant positive impact on the climate adaptive behavior of rice farmers;both perceived availability and perceived ease of use positively affect the climate adaptive behavior of rice farmers.2)The perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use promote the climate adaptive behavior of rice farmers through the mediation role of behavior attitude and perceived behavior control,respectively.3)The influence of digital meteorological information service on the climate adaptive behavior of rice farmers has differences in resource endowment.4)The digital meteorological information service is conducive to activating climate adaptive behaviors such as adjusting agricultural time, adjusting varieties and purchasing agricultural insurance.Hence, the government should expedite the development of digital meteorological information services to enhance rice farmers'risk perception and guide them to adopt climate-adaptive behaviors.
