Evaluating doctoral education scientifically is a key challenge in the development and reform of China's doctoral programs.A thorough grasp of the training,employment,and development of doctoral-level talent is crucial for China to establish a new talent framework that supports rural development and advances the rural revitalization strategy by 2025.Utilizing survey data from doctoral students and alumni at six agricultural universities,a comprehensive examination of the training,employment,and development of agricultural doctoral talent holds significant academic value.It can transform the evaluation paradigm of doctoral education,update current perceptions of doctoral programs and career trajectories,assess the value and efficacy of doctoral education,and foster comprehensive reforms in doctoral education.
