Protein Structure and Gene Expression Pattern Analysis of Gossypium raimondii GPI ̄anchor Lipid Transfer LTPG Family
A lot of research indicates that lipids are involved in cotton fiber initiation and elongation. LTPG ( GPI ̄anchored lipid transfer protein) is involved in lipid transportation during cell enlargement, so the protein structure and gene expression pattern of LTPG gene family in Gossypium raimondii were analyzed. The results showed that LTPGs were classified into 8 subgroups, and the position /distribution of each subgroup protein had its own typical molecular weight and conserved cysteine motif. Promoter elements analysis indicated that LTPGs contained the conservative binding sites for MYB transcription factors and hormone response elements. RNA ̄seq data revealed that three expression patterns of LTPGs existed during fiber development, suggesting their roles in fiber initiation and elongation.
