Does Inclusive Finance Promote Income for Farmers?——An Empirical Study on the Impact of Digital Inclusive Finance on Farmers'Income Growth Based on the Adjustment Effect of Urbanization
Promoting farmers'steady income increase is one of the priorities of the rural revitalization strategy,and the innovative development of digital inclusive finance offers new possibilities for this purpose,and it is worthwhile to study the impact of digital inclusive finance on farmers'income.Based on the perspective of urbanization,the effects of digital inclusive finance on farmers'income were explored by using a two-way fixed-effects model regression,a moderating-effects model,and a quantile regression,using panel data from 31 provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities directly under the central government for 10 years from 2011 to 2020 as the sample for analysis.The results showed that digital inclusive finance has effectively contributed to farmers'income growth in general,and the moderating effects showed that the increase in urbanization has strengthened the contribution of digital inclusive finance to farmers'income growth.Heterogeneity tests showed that digital inclusive finance positively contributes to income growth among low-income,middle-income,and high-income rural residents.Therefore,based on the consideration of helping common prosperity,we should actively promote the development of digital inclusive finance in rural areas,develop digital inclusive finance according to local conditions,improve the construction of digital inclusive financial infrastructure in less developed areas,develop fiacial prodcts and sevices that meet farmers'demand,and promote the integrated development of urban and rural areas and optimize the allocation of financial resources.
