Current State of Functional Agriculture in Southeast Asian Countries and Its Implications for China
As the improvement of residents'economic conditions and living standards,people's food requirements are no longer limited to filling their stomachs.Functional agriculture,aimed at enhancing the nutritional and health value of meals,has emerged and rapidly become a new trend in global agricultural development.Southeast Asian countries,with their superior natural conditions,are important global producers of rice and tropical cash crops,and have unique advantages in developing functional agriculture.To deeply explore the current development status and future trends of functional agriculture in the Southeast Asian region,this study selected Thailand,Malaysia,Indonesia,the Philippines,Laos,and Singapore as samples,conducted a detailed review and analysis of their policies,regulations,and industrial status in the field of functional agriculture,compared and analyzed these countries'policy regulations and the significant achievements of their industrial development,in order to provide an important reference for the formulation of China's functional agriculture-related policies and regulations and the upgrading of its industry.
