A REVIEW AND PROSPECT OF RESEARCH ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL HOMESTAY IN CHINA
To promote the healthy development of rural homestay industry is of great significance for the transformation and upgrading of rural tourism industrial under the background of rural revitalization strategy.Based on the journal database of CNKI and its supporting bibliometrics,this research sorted out the development process and relevant theoretical content of rural homestay research since 2011,and proposed future research priorities.The results were listed as follows.(1)In the past 12 years,the research dimension of rural homestay showed more development trends from the introduction of a single foreign experience to the combination of domestic cultural characteristics,cooperation with the national rural revitalization strategy,and industrial upgrading in response to the COVID-19 epidemic.The research method also changed from a single qualitative analysis to a qualitative and quantitative mixed method.(2)From the research content,it could be divided into five aspects:the concept of rural homestay,development strategies,service characteristics,legal standards,space layout.Therefore,this research is reviewed from the aspects of research methods,cases selection and theoretical system construction of rural homestay,and it is proposed that the in-depth research should be conducted from several aspects,such as the construction of independent rural homestay theoretical system,the leapfrog innovative development model of rural homestay industry,and rural homestay service innovation and other aspects in the future.
