STUDY ON THE INFLUENCE OF INTERGENERATIONAL INHERITANCE WILLINGNESS ON THE HIGH-QUALITY DEVELOPMENT OF FAMILY FARMS
Intergenerational inheritance is a necessary path for the high-quality development of family farms,and the low willingness of intergenerational inheritance in agriculture is one of the main factors hindering the improvement of the high-quality development level of family farms in China.Exploring the impact of intergenerational inheritance willingness on the high-quality development of family farms provides a decision-making reference for the government to formulate support policies for family farms,which is beneficial to promoting the modernization of China's agriculture and guaranteeing national food security.Based on the field research data of family farms in Shandong province,the impact of intergenerational inheritance willingness on the high-quality development of family farms was empirically examined by using econometric analyses such as Tobit,Logit,and OLS.The results of the study showed that the intergenerational inheritance willingness of agriculture in family farms in China was low.The proportion of family farms where the father expected his children to work in agriculture and the children were willing to work in agriculture was only 7.5%.The intergenerational inheritance willingness of family farms had a significant positive effect on the high-quality development of family farms.At the same time,intergenerational inheritance willingness significantly improved the level of high-quality development of family farms by promoting the participation rate of farm owners in agricultural training,the level of agricultural technology application and the level of profitability of family farms,respectively.In addition,the intergenerational inheritance willingness of family farms with a high level of education of the operators,a large scale,and a medium or lower level of development had a more obvious effect on the improvement of the level of high-quality development.Therefore,improving the willingness of intergenerational inheritance in agriculture is one of the main paths to promote the high-quality development of family farms.To improve the willingness of intergenerational inheritance of family farms,it is necessary to do a good job in two aspects:one is to ensure the stability of the land management right of family farms,and to strengthen the systematic guarantee of intergenerational inheritance of family farms;and the other is to make farmers an enviable occupation,and to create a social environment conducive to the intergenerational inheritance of agricultural management of family farms.
