DIGITAL ECONOMY,INDUSTRIAL RESILIENCE AND HIGH-QUALITY DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL INDUSTRIES
In the context of comprehensively building a socialist modern agricultural power,this research aims to analyze how to enhance industrial resilience and promote the high-quality development of rural industries.Based on the requirements of the new development stage,this study used the data from 30 provinces in China from 2013 to 2019 to measure the level of digital economic development from the perspectives of Internet development and inclusive digital finance.It assessed the resilience of rural industries from three dimensions:resistance,recovery,and reorganization,and analyzed the level of high-quality development of rural industries from five aspects:innovation,coordination,green development,openness,and sharing.Based on this,the study empirically analyzed the mechanism of how digital economy enhances industrial resilience and promoted high-quality development of rural industries by constructing a two-way fixed-effects model,a mediation effects model,and a threshold effects model.The results show that the digital economy has a significant positive effect on the high-quality development of rural industries,and industrial resilience is one of the pathways of influence;This positive effect is more pronounced in areas with higher levels of urbanization or lower levels of government intervention;The digital economy has an obvious threshold effect on the high-quality development of rural industries,and only when the digital economy develops to a certain level can it have a significant positive impact on the high-quality development of rural industries.Therefore,to better utilize the digital economy to enhance industrial resilience and promote high-quality development of rural industries,it is necessary to increase investment in digital infrastructure construction in rural areas,promote the use of digital technologies such as drones,sensors,and intelligent robots by rural industry entities to improve product quality and added value,and enhance the resilience of rural industries.In addition,efforts should be made to strengthen the promotion of digital knowledge and talent cultivation in rural areas,support cooperation between various universities,research institutions,and township enterprises,and promote research,application,and popularization of digital technologies in rural areas.Furthermore,the integration of digital technology and rural industries should be promoted,encouraging close cooperation between township enterprises and digital technology companies to facilitate the widespread application of digital technologies in rural industries.
