THE IMPACT OF RURAL TOURISM-ORIENTED COMPREHENSIVE LAND CONSOLIDATION ON FARMERS'LIVELIHOOD RESILIENCE
This study aims to reveal the impact of rural tourism-oriented comprehensive land consolidation on farmers'livelihood resilience,so as to provide a decision-making reference for improving the efficiency of land consolidation implementation and promoting high-quality development of rural tourism.Based on the 466 household survey data from Hubei province, this research constructed a framework of"rural tourism-oriented comprehensive land consolidation-multifunctional farmland-farmers'livelihood resilience",and used the difference-in-differences model to explore the differences in the impact of rural tourism-oriented comprehensive land consolidation on farmers'livelihood resilience from the perspectives of farmer types and regional heterogeneity. The results indicated that:(1)The baseline regression results showed that rural tourism-oriented comprehensive land consolidation significantly reduced the livelihood vulnerability of farmers by 3.4%;and improved the adaptability and livelihood resilience of farmers by 8.7%and 12.1%.After a series of robustness tests, the regression results were still valid.(2)The results of heterogeneity analysis showed that the impact of rural tourism-oriented comprehensive land consolidation on farmers'livelihood resilience decreased with the increase of percentile of farmers'livelihood resilience, and was also affected by differences in landform types.Rural tourism-oriented comprehensive land consolidation in plain areas had a greater effect on the farmers'livelihood resilience than in hilly and mountainous areas. Therefore, rural tourism-oriented comprehensive land consolidation should strengthen overall planning from the aspects of policy implementation, capital supply, and element integration, fully consider the heterogeneous needs of farmers, and innovate rural tourism development models according to local conditions.Only in those ways,it can preserve the cultivated land resources, optimize the green ecological space function, inherit the rural culture, and continuously expand the multiple functions of agriculture,to improve the farmers'livelihood resilience.
